Indeed the reason why this blog exists (and tries to survive my bouts of laziness) is because we (my boyfriend Hardy and I) have decided to take the big dive, leave our jobs (yes right in between the second worst financial crisis in history and - maybe - THE worst ever financial crisis in history... and we're so happy we did!) and take a stroll around the world for a year.
In between naps, mango lassi binge drinking sessions and photo safaris we'll also be volunteering for 3 months in Nepal. You can find more details about this in the dedicated page of this blog.
As adorably adorable as my boyfriend is, I have to say we are quite different hence we decided to have each our own blog which we think reflect who we are as individuals. Ok actually the discussion about whether to have 1 common blog for the trip or 2 separate ones went more or less like:
Hardy: "Hey, have a look I've just finished the layout of the blog"
Julie: "Mmmm, not sure about all the orange in there" (frowny face)
Hardy: "Ok... what about we each have our own blog?"
Julie: "Cool!"
Hardy: "Cool!"

ps: I am French by birth, almost Irish by adoption, trained in business law which turns out is totally irrelevant to what I love to do in life, but useful for un-crypting fine prints and bothering my boyfriend about what accurate term should be used for each possible situation in life.
